JESUS KNEW SOMETHING POWERFUL HAPPENED AT PARTIES.
That’s why he talked about them so much and went to them so often, something that was quite radical for a Jewish Rabbi of his day. He greatly valued the beauty of what happens in this kind of space: sharing great food; people letting their guards down; sharing stories of real life; connecting with new friends; just simply celebrating life together - all giving a glimpse of the Kingdom and the great party ahead for us in heaven.
Our hope is to simply throw a potluck party about every month to create a space where people can naturally grow in these kind of relational connections. Here are some practical points to help you know what to expect.
The whole family is invited...kids and all. Just remember that you're still a parent and keep an eye on them.
Bring along a dish (hence the "potluck"). That will ensure that we will always have enough food for everyone.
Know that this is always a safe place to bring friends, neighbors, and co-workers. It's for everyone!
For the safety and protection of each other and any friends in recovery, we ask to not bring alcohol.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact the host for each gathering.
