EMBRACE YOUTH

Sundays from 5:00-6:45 PM

Embrace Youth is open to all current 6th - 12th grade students and gathers most Sunday evenings from 5:00-6:45 PM at the Embrace Church building. Check our calendar at the bottom of this page for any special events or changes to our schedule!

Embrace Youth ultimately desires for students to become disciples of Jesus Christ who make disciples of Jesus Christ. This aim is based on the solid rock of Jesus’s Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20.

And though discipleship is the ultimate mission of Embrace Youth, we also recognize that students first must find their identity in Jesus Christ. This involves helping students know that God made them (Genesis 1:27), that His ways are higher than any human ways (Isaiah 55:8-9), that He loves them (John 3:16), that the life He offers is the good life (John 10:10, 15:11), that He calls us to follow His ways and thinking over the world’s ways (Romans 12:1-2), and that He has good works planned for them to do (Ephesians 2:10).

LARGE GROUP GATHERINGS

Our large group gatherings are a blend of teaching and social time for our students. Each evening includes biblical teaching and worship before students break up into small groups for follow-up discussion. There’s usually a pretty hilarious game in the mix too, as well as plenty of time for students to just hang out and be together as they grow in relationship with one another and Jesus. We gather at Embrace Church most Sunday evenings from 5:00-6:45 PM. Check out our calendar of events below for any changes to our normal meeting rhythm.

SMALL GROUP GATHERINGS

Small group discipleship is an important way for students to get to know each other and talk about their faith in a more intimate setting. This takes place during the last 20 minutes of our large group gatherings each Sunday, in gender and grade specific groups facilitated by our adult leaders.

OTHER RHYTHMS & SPECIAL EVENTS

On the first Sunday of the month we enjoy a delicious meal together! And several times a year we gather for activities such as serving in the community, swimming, Christmas parties, kickball games, bowling, small group nights, and watching football. We also attend two overnight camps/retreats each year. Each summer we attend a Christian camp called GENERATE where we engage in awesome worship and teaching, grow closer in our relationships, and serve in the city we’re visiting. Then each January we host a winter retreat to get away for a weekend of fellowship, discipleship, and worship.
